Dakoda loves dance class every week. She really enjoys getting dressed up too. Every time I see her in her dance gear, I can't believe how big she is getting.

Dakoda loves to place bubbles all over Chyler and Chyler doesn't mind a bit!

I have realized that Chyler's favorite place to be is in the water. She prefers the bathtub, but the sink will do too. That is why she has been pulling up to see Dakoda every time I give her a bath. So one day, I put her in the tub with Dakoda and she loved it. Getting her out was the trick!

Chyler has discovered how to pull up. It started out that every time I gave Dakoda a bath, she would crawl in there as fast as she could as soon as she heard the water start. Then she would crawl up to the tub and peek in at Dakoda bathing and finally after a couple nights of balancing on her knees, she pulled herself to a standing position. Now that she has learned that, she has been trying it everywhere.

Going Bonkers

In January I visited my sisters again and we went to a local place called Bonkers. It's pretty much a ChuckE Cheese. Dakoda had a blast there. This last picture was just a small portion of how big it was. Her favorite was piling the large pieces of fruit and blocks and the foot of a slide and slide down and crash into them all.

The girls got a Tinkerbell play hut for Xmas and I thought Dakoda would be more interested in it for now but I was wrong. One day I couldn't find Chyler and I hear movement in the tent so I take a peek and she's just beaming from ear to ear because she was so proud of what she discovered. Now, the two of them love to play in there together. I love watching the two of them get along so well together.

Dakoda recently got play dough for Christmas and she loves to play with it. (of course only under supervision for the sake of my carpet and furniture!) Before she turned 2 yrs old, she learned all of her colors. She even knows black and white and brown (ones I never cared about). So she makes me get out all of the play dough and she likes to line them up and tell me each color. I've also been trying to teach her letters of the alphabet by using ways she would be interested like for instance, spelling her name out in play dough. She knows the letter "D" and "A" and can recognize them in words.

This is the horse that grandma and grandpa Macy (my mom and dad) got the girls. I had a similar one when I was little. I really enjoy watching Dakoda ride it. She has a love for horses and this made it to where she can ride him whenever she wants. Chyler likes to watch for now, but I know eventually they will both enjoy it.
Great Grandma Macy got the girls this huge cheetah "tiger" (that's what dakoda calls it). Both of them love it. I wasn't sure if Dakoda would like it at first because it looked so real, but I was wrong. I found it in bed with her the next morning. And the night after that she insisted that it slept by her side! This thing is huge! I practically takes up 1/4 of her bed. It's large enough for the two of them to ride like a horse!

Winter hits Missouri

Potty Trained!

Dakoda was potty trained in the very beginning of December 2009. After her interest in it several months ago, weeks before Chyler was born, I was sick of using pull-ups and just let her go naked. After 2 days, she was trained. I can't believe it only took that short of time after battling with it for several months! Aunt Julie sent her some "big girl" things in the mail when she heard the news. She got some Tinkerbell panties, bubblegum and nail polish. Thanks Julie!

Dakoda made a new friend when we visited Aunt Leslie. This is her dog, Harold.

Dakoda is currently enrolled in her Aunt Lindi's beginner dance class that she teaches. She absolutely loves going here every week. They focus on rhythm, tap, jazz, ballet, and gymnastics.

Dakoda has a bizzillion baby dolls. I thought it would be funny to take a picture of Chyler with them all since she's the same size as some. Every once in a while I will accidentally get after Dakoda for playing rough with her baby sister, but most of the time I mistake Chyler for a baby doll!

Here is a proud daddy and his new baby girl.

On her forehead is a small red dot, its called a hemangioma. The doctor says that it's a birthmark of some kind and it should go away in a few years. I don't really care if it leaves or stays, I think it's adorable!

I'm pretty doped up on drugs at this point, but I felt pretty good!

After she was all cleaned up, Dakoda was more willing to hold her. When they brought her out of the delivery room, Nick said that he showed Chyler to Dakoda and Dakoda just looked at her with disgust and backed up because she still had that cheesy stuff on her and she was still bloody and wet. Haha

Well, Chyler came sooner than we expected. I remember telling my doctor, "oh, well I'll see you next Tuesday, no sooner than that!" oooh boy was I wrong! The Sunday before the c-section, we had a really bad hail storm which also had some tornadoes in the county next to ours and that whole time, I was stuck in our house having labor pains. (of course I have never experienced them before so I wasn't really sure what was going on. I kinda had a feeling that my water broke (which later we found out it did) and I was very restless. It was also a full moon and a lot of people say most babies are born around that time of the month for some reason. Anyways, after waiting 12 hours for the storm to die down and wait for it to be safe to drive to the hospital, Nick drove me and we ended up delivering Chyler at 11:07 that morning. She weighed 6 lbs and 14 oz and was 19" long.

Dakoda is 2

Dakoda turned 2 on July 10th. I didn't feel like making a cake this year, so we bought a DQ icecream cake! YUM!!

We decided to get Dakoda something that she can play with outside since her birthday is in the summer. The jeep was quite an entertaining gift I do have to say. She almost hit our car after high-centering it on a pile of dirt and after hitting a couple of trees and trying to run th dog over with it, she will definitly have to be very well supervised until she gets the concept of steering!

My niece Ahna Denning on the left, Dakoda in the center, and a Jayda, a friend of Dakoda's are all having a great time in the pool. The girls had a blast throwing sand from the sandbox into the pool. Ooh what a mess they made, but they had so much fun!

Just on Christmas Eve, Dakoda burnt her hand so bad that it was considered a 2nd degree burn. I was so worried that it would ruin her Christmas, but fortuneatly it did not and she opened her gifts without any trouble.

For Easter 2008 Dakoda and I flew back to MO to visit family. It was quite an adventure! While we were there, she was bit by a hamster (note the bandage on her finger) and this is a picture of her just waking up after falling asleep in my sister's sleeping bag with a bottle of milk. Apparently the sleeping back didn't absorb the milk so it just puddled around her face!

Wow, a lot has happened since last spring....the last time I actually added pictures and posted things. I'll try to catch up up on things! So, since then, we have moved 4 different times and we are back in Missouri now. Nick isn't active duty in the Navy, but he's in the reserves now. Dakoda is over a year old now and coming on two. We are expecting again, and we are pretty sure it's a baby girl. I'm due in the beginning of June. Nick has a stable job with the government, working as a security officer. As soon as we moved back I was working 2 jobs and going to school, but that got a little crazy for us so I'm down to a weekend job, serving at a fancy little restaraunt. That's not going to last much longer since, I can barely tie my shoes and stand on my feet for too long. :o) We bought a house in February and we LOVE it. I think that pretty much sums things up. So now I'll catch you up on pictures and go from there! It's nice to have internet again!!!!
